Hello!

I'm new to Dreamwidth - I'd like to use this space to talk about and share my fanfiction. I am mostly active on bluesky these days and publish to ao3, but want to expand my horizons due to ongoing censorship issues in my country and around the world.

My main fandom right now is Transformers, but I have written for other media, most recently Daiya no Ace and Bleach. I want to participate in events here as, for some reason, Dreamwidth has been very intimidating to me. I suppose the same goes for joining a new platform anywhere. I would like to give it a shot and push myself in my writing! I mostly write NSFW, but would one day like to challenge myself with a longfic.

newcomers has lots of resources about how to use Dreamwidth and where to find things you'll enjoy here. If you're coming from Tumblr, soc_puppet is posting tutorials for that angle.

The Follow Friday Master Post has lists of active communities by topic where you can look for some based on your interests. Many bloggers use recurring posts to pin down their key interests and maintain activity, which is also a good source of inspiration if you aren't sure what you want to post yet.

Excellent! It's great to see more people posting their fanworks directly on Dreamwidth as other sites are becoming more precarious and insular.

Find fandom at fandomcalendar and fandom_on_dw. There are lots of fannish communities A-I and J-Z.

You might like tf_rare_pairing, tfmegaratch, tf_meta, and anime_manga.

Consider allbingo. It's laid-back, posts a new fest each month, and welcomes all fandoms.
